About The Event
Ma’at 9 is presenting the first ADOS Family Pride Festival: Winter Edition!!
The purpose of Ma’at 9 and this event is to bring essential products and services to OUR people, provided by OUR people. In addition we wanted to create an event that supports, promotes, encourages, and celebrates the organic ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) families. We felt that there was a lack of events that were exclusively for the organic ADOS (Man, Woman, & Child) family unit. It is our goal that we show the organic ADOS family that we have a space and platform to be celebrated, network, resolve issues and find products & services that will assist them in creating a sustainable and sufficient tribe. In addition we want to have live demonstrations to educate us, in real time, on various topics (hair care, meal prep, spiritual self care).
During this time of challenges, it is more imperative than ever that we become self-sufficient as a community. We are looking for anyone who has an essential business with much needed products and services to provide. We would like to invite you to apply as a vendor. It is our hope that through this event more of us can connect with the products and services that are offered by the members of our community as well as celebrate the pride they have for their ADOS family. While we love and appreciate our artists, crafters, and fashionistas, we are looking for essential business exclusively. These are businesses that would be beneficial to our basic survival, goals of self sufficiency, and our progress as a people.
